Traditional BSN Track from UH
The Traditional BSN Track is designed to look for first-time degrees for students who wish to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and be eligible to take the National Council License Exam for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).
The first year and second year will be at the University of Houston.
After gaining entry into the nursing program, junior and senior years will be taught at the University of Houston Katy's location.
Program Description
- The aim of the Traditional BSN Pathway is to produce graduates for professional nursing practice who can utilize knowledge from the biological sciences, social sciences, humanities, and nursing to critically analyze human responses to actual and potential health problems, while providing nursing care interventions that are more precise.
- The Traditional BSN Track is designed for Houston University students who have completed at least 45 hours in the hostel heading to the Nursing majors. Students with AP / IB or double credit must consult with an academic advisor. Students qualify to register for the CON Traditional BSN Track after they have completed 45 semester credit hours of nursing degree programs provided by the University of Houston. Students can register using the Amendment to Main Requirements form for College of Nursing. Students can be admitted conditionally, pending completion of UH core requirements, all nursing program prerequisites, and permission of criminal background / drug filter [Core Requirements IX (b) Writing in Discipline can be fulfilled by NURS 4312.].

Second Degree BSN by UH
The Second Degree BSN Program is offered at the Sugar Land UH campus in Sugar Land, Texas, near Houston. The next admission for the BSN fast track program is Spring 2020. The second bachelor's degree program is a full-time, intensive, twelve-month program for people who hold bachelor's or master's degrees in other fields who wish to become registered nurses (RN). This accelerated program is designed to facilitate career change for more mature and experienced students.

The Chamberlain Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) curriculum is designed to advance students' abilities to retain and apply essential knowledge. The focus is on giving students the skills and conceptual learning to be able to translate theories into practice.
Both hands-on experience at the SIMCARE CENTER ™ Chamberlain and on-site clinical settings enable nursing students to work alongside faculty, mentors, peers, and experienced professional nurses as they improve their direct patient-care nursing skills.
The BSN degree program consists of a minimum of 122 credit hours: 56 credit hours in general education and 66 credit hours in nursing majors.
Registration Requirements
Prospective students must complete the application and interview with Chamberlain admissions representatives. When all admission requirements are met, applicants are notified in writing of their admission status to certain Chamberlain programs and locations.
