This program is designed more specifically to prepare people for the ever-increasing demands about the workforce involved in health care. BTCI strives to provide high-quality and most effective LVN programs.

The LVN program is completed in 12 months with classes conducted Monday through Friday, from 9am to 5pm. General tasks that must be mastered by LVN include the following:

Check vital signs such as pulse, blood pressure, temperature and breathing
Helping patients with eating, accompanying patients while walking, helping them take a bath and care for other care activities

Founded in 1927, HCC (Houston Community College), also known as the HCCS(Houston Community College System) is a network of community colleges operating in various cities in Texas including Houston, Stafford, Missouri City and Greater Katy. In 2015, HCC had more than 5,700 international students enrolled in many of its study programs.

Houston Community College offers students the LVN program which takes 44 weeks to complete. A total of 39 unit hours must be completed to complete the program. The curriculum in the field of vocational nursing includes a mixture of several lectures in the laboratory, classes, training in nursing skills, and clinical practice experience that applies in various health care settings.

The 19th LVN Program in Texas. Founded by community voters in 1972, Lone Star College-North Harris is a public community college. The campus serves more than 11,000 students, offering a number of programs ranging from paralegal studies, medical assistance, information technology, and others.

The school LVN program is a three-semester, one-year program that prepares students to become licensed vocational nurses.

San Jacinto College - South was founded in 1961 as a community college in the Houston Texas area.

The LVN program requires a full year of training to be completed and consists of 52 unit hours. In total, the program includes 576 class hours and 880 laboratory / clinical hours. To get an LVN certificate at the end of the program, students are required to complete each course in the program with a grade of C or better.

Registration Requirements:
  • Have obtained a high school diploma or have passed the GED exam
  • Have a minimum GPA of 2.25 for college level courses
  • Pass the physical examination
  • Provide valid proof of CPR certification
  • Must pass a program placement test with an adequate score. In certain cases, students who fail to get high scores need to successfully complete a college preparation course.
  • Take and pass the A2 HESI Exam
  • Having a clear criminal history background
  • Provide proof of health insurance
  • Every student who applies to the nursing program must submit a copy of the front / back of the insurance card

All required immunizations must be up-to-date and be completed before the final application deadline and may not expire during the program
