LVN-ADN at Alvin Community College. The Alvin Community Academy Nursing Program will help you get broader health care career opportunities in the Metropolitan area of Houston and beyond. This region is home to the largest medical complex in the world (Texas Medical Center).

Care is a career path that is highly paid, respected, and in demand. With a nursing degree from ACC, you can become an RN in just two years or move to university four years to get your bachelor of science in a nursing degree (BSN).

As the largest health care job, RN works in a variety of health care settings including surgical centers, clinics, hospitals, long-term care, home health care, and others. The average salary in the region is around $78,233 / year with more than 2,800 annual job openings.

What Will You Learn Here?

Every ADN semester student will be enrolled in a theory and clinical course. In addition, this skills course is also taught in the first year of the program. During the last semester capstone course, students spend about half of the semester in the (supervised) teacher experience.

The ADN program has clinical affiliations throughout the Houston-Galveston area, including the Texas Medical Center.

After being accepted into the ADN program, you will learn

Alvin Community College ADN Nursing Program Cost?
Estimated fees for tuition, fees, required textbooks and supplies for the entire 2-year ADN program of the RNSG course are $8,000 if you live in the district, $10,000 if you live outside the district and $6,000 / $7,000 for 1 year program LVN-ADN Transition.

Fees for non-RNSG courses at the ADN level are additional. The costs for the following items are also extra: health insurance, physical examination, immunization and immunity tests (titer), tuberculosis tests, smart devices (tablets or smart phones), optional textbooks, and travel costs to clinical places including gasoline costs and parking.

Additional costs vary too much to be included in the estimates above; You need to determine for yourself the amount of these additional costs based on your personal situation.
